BARBERTON OHIO: In a day that started off with the threat of rain, Barberton Speedway kept with the program and played host to some classic Ohio racing. With close to 30 compacts, and improved fields of Late Models and Legends, the night's program was shaped up to be a nice one. On hand first was the legend division. WE ARE RACING! The green will fall Saturday, May 20th at BARBERTON SPEEDWAY! You do not want to miss this one, as five weekly divisions take to the track and do battle. A 35 lap Compact race thanks to Greg's Towing is on hand. The winner will take home $280 dollars. The compact division is heating up with some large fields, and with this being a bigger race, the spots will fill up fast. 26 spots are up for grabs, and it will be easy to guess that they will all be taken up. Due to some speculation about our May 20th show, we felt the need to let everyone know that we are running all divisions, including Legends this Saturday. Along with our regular show we are hosting the Greg's Towing 35 Lap Compact Shootout. Come out for a great time.

Due to scheduling, bandoleros will not be running this weekend, May 20th. The bandoleros will now run on May 27th. Going into the rest of the season we will not run Legends and Bandoleros on the same night. Legends and Bandoleros will now race on alternating days on the schedule. Legends will remain on the same dates that are on the schedule. Thank you for you understanding and support. The schedule will reflect these changes.

Compact Tire / Wheel Rule Clarification: The wheel/tire rule states that the tire must be within the body/fender area of the car. We have given a 1" tolerance to allow for body damage and the need to run racing style wheels for safety reasons. We have demonstrated several times to all drivers how this is measured. All drivers are required to wear a SA rated full face helmet 2005 rated or newer, SFI rated racing shoes, SFI rated drivers gloves and SFI rated suit. One or two piece SFI rated fire suits are acceptable. DOT/Motorcycle style helmets are not allowed.
